Jamie Allen Black, seasoned executive leader, mentor, consultant, and advisor, has a passion for modeling and coaching leadership through authenticity, helping individuals to share their passion, and encouraging generous giving. She is a fierce advocate for developing strong, well-functioning, well-resourced organizations and supporting individuals to bring their best, most effective and authentic selves to all aspects of their lives.

In a 25+ year career marked by proven excellence, Jamie supports cutting-edge philanthropy and visionary leadership, driving revenue growth, developing strong partnerships, delivering innovative and impactful programming. Jamie builds strong relationships and networks creating positive organizational cultures.

Jamie’s Recent Work

Jamie most recently served as the Chief Executive Officer of Elluminate. She shepherded the 25-year-old community foundation into a new way of being – building networks and creating supportive relationships between and among women social entrepreneurs using an intersectional gender lens. Jamie embodies 30 years of experience leading in the nonprofit arena. This history centers around promoting inclusive and diverse communities and mentoring both professionals and volunteers.

In 2017, Jamie co-founded Ta’amod: Stand Up! – a Jewish communal response for the need to create safe and respectful workplaces — with Naomi Eisenberger of The Good People Fund. Jamie is a graduate of New York University and was honored with the Dean’s Alumni Award for Humanitarianism. She sings in a Community Choir and has a not-so-secret life as a voice actor. She hails from Los Angeles and lives in New York City. Jamie serves on the Board of Directors of Unchained At Last and the Advisory Council of Ta’amod: Stand Up!
